Osteoporosis is a disease developed in the bones where the calcium is reduced in the bone mineral density. Bones contain calcium. Enough calcium in the body makes the bones grow stronger and healthier. Therefore intake of calcium is very much necessary for a person to prevent oneself from any bone diseases. Individuals suffering from Osteoporosis must take more calcium in order to compensate even for the bone tissue. Those who have also experienced any breaking or cracking of the bones in any stages of their life should also make a point to take in more calcium in their daily food source.

Intake of calcium depends on many factors. It depends on the person’s age and also gender. Women need to get more calcium than men due to their lifestyle habits and other changes. Calcium intake can be in many ways. Direct food sources like the green leafy vegetables and fruits provide calcium. Correct amount of calcium supply must be given to the body in order to increase and improve the bone mineral density. Consultation with a doctor is necessary before taking any such preventive measures. A person should not take calcium in high quantities. They may result in posing adverse effects to the body.

Vitamin D is another nutrient that helps in absorbing calcium and also helps in bone-building. The most natural and easiest way to get Vitamin D is by exposing oneself to sunlight. The sun rays contain Vitamin D that is necessary for the body and hence the bones. There are other food sources that are rich in Vitamin D like the egg-yolks, fatty fish and fortified milk. Medicinal treatments are also available and proper consultation with the doctors must be taken before choosing the treatment. Enough supplements in Vitamin D help one in building proper bone-mass density and thereby preventing any bone-related diseases in the older stages of life.

Calcium and Vitamin D are both nutrients that are related to each other. High amount of Vitamin D helps in absorbing more calcium and gives the bones much better structure and shape. Calcium also helps the body absorb more Vitamin D while the person is going for the foods rich in these contents. While consuming the food sources in order to increase the calcium and vitamin content, other appropriate nutrients are also provided to the body. This makes one build a healthier and stronger life.

Appropriate intake of such vitamins and minerals prevent any type of bone diseases. Cracking, weakening, thinning of the bones etc can be prevented by taking the sufficient quantities of calcium and vitamin D. These give best results when taken with the help of any food sources, rather than directly or the medicinal way since food intake has minimum adverse affects on the body.

Therefore one must make sure to provide the body with Calcium and Vitamin D to help prevent bone diseases and avoid diseases like the Osteoporosis in the later stages of life.

Osteoporosis is the thinning and weakening of the bones to such an extent that the bones develop pores and cracks resulting in breakages. Bones getting weaker as aging is a natural phenomenon but they must be strong enough to withstand one’s own body weight. Treating the bones to become stronger and helping in their growth are often few ways in treating the Osteoporosis bone disease.

Treatment is very much important as it prevents breaking of the bones. The thickness of the bones is maintained and increased on few occasions. This helps in maintaining one’s ability to properly function physically and few treatments help in getting relief from the pain that might be caused due to the fractures and other small cracks developed.

There are various treatments depending on the amount of the disease one is infected with. If the person is suffering from mild Osteoporosis and is still in the initial stages of the disease, many doctors recommend him/her to change the lifestyle and eating habits. Foods that are rich in calcium and Vitamin D are prescribed in plenty, in order to make his bones grow stronger and healthier. Vitamin D supplements help in absorbing calcium and prevent fractures and cracks. So, on early detection of Osteoporosis, one needs to have an intake of foods that are rich in Vitamin D and Calcium as these help prevent any possible fractures in the later stages of his/her life.

If a person has been suffering from little to severe Osteoporosis and is diagnosed with bone loss and erosion of the bones near the joints, then it is high time for the person to get ongoing treatment to cure the bone disease. Doctors suggest him to get regular checkups and follow-up tests to periodically observe the changes and improvement in the strength of the bones and the mineral density in his bone tissues. Dietary changes, exercises – ranging from regular and moderate to intense and vigorous according to the amount of infection and risk involved are suggested.

Once the condition of the disease gets worse, more changes and prescriptions are given by the doctors. They also include the dietary conditions along with medicinal intake that help supply sufficient amount of nutrients and minerals in order to make the bones strong and healthy. Calcium, Iron, Manganese are few of the minerals and vitamins that would mostly be prescribed and suggested by the doctors in the foods that would be given to the person. There are other replacement therapies where the hormones and estrogens are replaced. Few surgical treatments also exist in order to make the bones at the joints stronger and medicinal intake is not sufficient enough.

Therefore, it is strongly recommended and suggested to include healthy diet and exercises in order to make the bones stronger and healthier and prevent any bone diseases in the future and later stages of life. Taking such precautions at early stages in the life makes one grow healthy and even while aging, have sufficient minerals and vitamins to keep the bones strong.

Deficiency in Vitamin K leads to decrease in the bone mineral density and may weaken the bones leading to Osteoporosis. This bone disease is most commonly found in the aged people and rarely in people who are very obese and also in pregnant women. The bones become very weak and thin and they develop small tiny cracks resulting in fractures and breaking of the bones. Sometimes the bones at the joints cannot even withstand their own body weight and result in breaking of the bones. Lack of Vitamin K decreases the calcium content in the bones.

There is a bone protein called “osteocalcin” which is made stronger by the intake of Vitamin K. This protein also helps in the bone structure and proper shape. On taking sufficient Vitamin K, this protein gets easily mixed with calcium and helps the bones to be stronger and provide good growth. When the body gets depleted of Vitamin K, the osteocalcin is not produced in the required amounts which make the bones weaker and fragile as aging increases. Therefore particularly, women and other young adolescents must have an abundant intake of Vitamin K only to prevent in degradation of the bones and avoid any bone diseases.

Foods such as green leafy vegetables like cabbages, spinach and green turnips are rich in Vitamin K. Intake of such foods including them in everyday diet makes one receive sufficient amounts of Vitamin K and therefore build stronger bones.
Vitamin K also helps in protecting the heart by making the blood pass through arteries and blood vessels and prevents any kind of blood clotting. Chopped and boiled leafy vegetables without adding salt are the most common foods people primarily prefer as such foods contain very high amounts of Vitamin K. Vitamin K is also called a blood thickener and clotting agent. When sufficiently taken, the Vitamin K helps in amalgamating with Calcium, Iron and Manganese already present in the body and the bone tissues helping them to get stronger enough. This mixture also gives rise to other nutrients and minerals that are necessary especially for elderly people.

There are few medicinal sources in order to take the Vitamin K but such intake must be accompanied by consultation and prescription of the doctor. Medicinal intake of Vitamin K might lead to other adverse effects and excessive intake where the body takes in more than required is also not considered to be fruitful always. Therefore one must make sure that they get the Vitamin K in the right proportions. Parents must include the foods rich in Vitamin K in the daily diet of the children. This helps the bones grow stronger and prevent and avoid any bone diseases like the Osteoporosis in the future and later stages of life. Necessary minerals and nutrients will also be passed onto the body by taking the foods that are rich in Vitamin K.

Many active people consume energy drinks. Energy drinks can be easily found and bought in department stores. They contain active ingredients such as glucose and caffeine, vitamins, and minerals. Other forms of energy drinks contain strong substances that will enhance the energy level that helps you stay awake all night and day. Even a workaholic person who consumes an energy drink can speed up his work while increasing his or her mental ability and concentration and enhancing physical performance.

Ingredients in Energy Drinks

But what really is the effect of energy drinks in our body? Some of the ingredients that contains in a bottle of energy drinks such as taurine, glucuronolactone, and caffeine create psychological and physical effects. Taurine and glucuronolactone occur naturally in the body. Taurine is amino acids that helps build up protein. During stress, the body loses a small amount of this amino acid and some believe that energy drinks replace or build up the taurine that was loss. Glucuronolactone is believed to be helpful in eliminating the harmful substances inside the body thereby providing an immediate boost of energy. Lastly, the Caffeine is a stimulant which acts on the part of the central nervous system that receives and sends messages to and from the brain. This makes the person feels more alert and active.

Overuse of Energy Drinks

An excessive intake of energy drinks may lead to a case of extreme addiction. Some may experience irritability and anxiety. The increasing effect of energy drinks can also lead to nightmare for anyone. An energy drink with stimulants can affect your heartbeat and blood pressure. Even worst, when energy drinks contains high level of caffeine and sugar it will cause dehydration.

Remember that energy drinks are not made to be a substitute for water. It is not yet too late to do health teaching to our children and loved ones. Think about those effects of energy drinks; consider all the possible outcomes when you drink energy drinks. The choice still depends on you.

As one gets older, the bones start becoming weaker to some extent. This is a natural occurrence and is quite common in today’s elderly people. But in few cases, the bones become so weak and fragile that fractures occur. They can cracks and often break under their own body weight. In such cases, the people are suffering from a disease called Osteoporosis. This means the bones become so weak that small tiny pores are formed and they begin to erode more than necessary. The mineral density is reduced in the bones and this result in low bone mass and hence thinning of the bones occurs.
Osteoporosis must be detected as early as possible and must be prevented in order to avoid further degradation of the bones. It generally occurs in the areas of hips, spines, knees and elbows. There are many treatments available to increase the bone mass density and to make them stronger. But most of the people today choose the natural method of treating the weakened bones and also prevent it from thinning further.

Natural treatments to prevent Osteoporosis can be started at any point of time in the life and there is no need for one to wait in order to detect if he/she is suffering from this disease. There are many natural ways available to prevent the thinning of the bones. Regular exercise which involves strong movement of the legs and hands keeps the bones strong and fit. This increases the mineral density in the bones and would be highly beneficial when aging occurs. It helps the people avoid cracking their bones when they grow older. The types of exercises – intensity and frequency and duration of such exercises can be known from any doctor taking the suggestions and few precautions that might be involved.

Following dietary tips are other means of preventing Osteoporosis. Including specific food sources in the daily diet helps one to get strong bones and also give the necessary vitamins and minerals that are needed to make the bones strong and remain strong enough even after growing older. Brussels sprouts are one of the food sources that provide the essential vitamins and minerals. They are highly rich in Vitamin K which provides and activates strong protein that is needed for the bones. This helps prevent Osteoporosis. Apart from these, foods rich in Magnesium content must be taken as they help in increasing the bone density and growth. Dark green-leafy vegetables and nuts contain magnesium, which by including in the regular diet prevents the degradation and weakening of the bones.

Other than following the natural treatments like exercises and dietary tips, one must also make sure to avoid carbonated soft drinks and colas that contains phosphorous which degrades and weakens the bones. Avoiding cigarette smoking, large quantities of alcohol would also help in preventing one from getting affected by Osteoporosis.
Therefore the natural ways of treating the Osteoporosis is the safest and efficient way as there are minimum side effects and there is no harm in trying out by any person of any age at any point in his lifetime.

Osteoporosis is a disease where the bones become weak and fragile to the extent that they develop cracks and often break under one’s own body weight. This is particularly seen in the elderly people and sometimes can be observed even in the people who are very obese. Weakening and thinning of the bones must be prevented as much as possible to avoid any cracks and fractures. These generally occur near the joint areas like the hip, knees and spine or even at the elbows.
There are many medications available and people tend not to care until the later stages due to the number of treatments readily available by the doctors today. By this, they are posing a threat to their own life. Many drugs and medicines have come up in most of the pharmaceutical stores today that claim in treating the Osteoporosis successfully. It might be true to some extent that the drugs help heal the disease but people do not over see the adverse affects and other problems that might start after the usage of such drugs.

Few treatments include taking the drugs that are available with every pharmaceutical store in prescribed dosages. Most of such medicines are powdery substances that are taken either orally or mixed with any food intake. Positive results can be seen as the vitamins and minerals present in the medicine make the bones stronger. But other adverse affects that can cause cannot be detected immediately.

Studies have revealed that popping the pills in order to get oneself treated from Osteoporosis have given rise to new heart-related problems. Slow and gradual blockage occurs from the arteries and blood does not pass as normal as it should to the heart. Though this occurs at a very slow rate which can take months or years, it is posing a grave threat to life. There are people who have complained of atrial fibrillation where the heart doesn’t beat effectively. Passage of blood slows down and clotting occurs slowly resulting in a heart attack or other heart-prone diseases.

Osteoporosis drugs have also resulted in some people in causing muscle pain in other areas of the body. People complained of jaw diseases on taking few osteoporosis drugs and some even experienced the results of the death of their jaws. Taking the medicines orally causes the jaw bone to degrade and slowly develop cracks after getting some muscle pain, which might not be the case in all.

So, careful steps and precautions must be taken and proper consultation of the doctor is highly recommended when going for the treatment of Osteoporosis. Therefore there are few people who choose the natural way of treating this disease with minimum side effects possible. And it is highly recommended to get proper consultation from the doctors before getting treated for Osteoporosis disease the medicinal way. One must carefully explain all the habits and daily routines to the doctor in order to get a proper treatment even if one is suggested to use the drugs and medicines to make their bones stronger.

Osteoporosis generally occurs due to reduced bone mass density and lack of proper minerals and vitamins that help make bones stronger. This disease is quite commonly observed in people who are aging and also rarely in people who are obese. The bones at the joints like knees and ankles for example, develop cracks and break under their own body weight. This is what the disease does to the bones. It causes small and tiny pores; hence the name ‘porosis’ and is caused mainly due to depletion in calcium in the bones.

People who regularly include Calcium, Magnesium and Iron in their everyday food intake are bound to have stronger bones and are less susceptible to this disease. Proper diet and nutrition help one to have strong bones even after aging occurs.
Recent study and research has found that Strontium is a mineral that naturally occurs and helps in making the bones grow stronger. It contains a mineral that increases the bone density dramatically and prevents the bones to develop small pores and cracks. This, therefore, reduces the risk of cracking the bones or fractures in people who are aging, who are obese or even pregnant women. Strontium acts similar to the calcium and magnesium and has similar chemical properties too. So, this mineral is also highly beneficial to increase the bone density and prevent them from becoming weak and fragile.

Strontium is found in air, water, soil, plant or even human bone tissue. Strontium can also be taken in the dietary form as it is available in many forms. Whole grains, spices, legumes, root vegetables, green-leaf vegetables are few of the food sources where strontium is abundant. This natural way of treating the Osteoporosis holds many advantages since all the food sources mentioned here are available to every person almost all the time and that too at the lowest cost possible. People are therefore suggested to take such foods to increase their bone mass density and prevent from developing any bone diseases in their later stages of their life.

Strontium works in such amazing way that it stimulates the bone cells that help in building new bone tissues. It also helps in inhibiting those cells that break down the bone tissues. Building the bone tissue is very useful in children and young teenagers in particular as they need to make their bones grow stronger by building the bone mass density. Inhibiting the resorb bone tissue or breakage of the bone tissues would be helpful in the people who start aging and become older.
Therefore studies are still going on discussing the best ways possible to make strontium reach the bone tissues and if there are any other means or sources available. This alternate way of treating the Osteoporosis is believed to become highly successful in the days or months to come. Having strontium included in the daily food source is not at all an expensive way of treatment and one can build stronger bones to lead a happier and healthier life in the later stages.

Today, it still remains an unbelievable fact that there is strong correlation between consumption of cola and getting affected by Osteoporosis disease. Many studies and research works show that on consuming the carbonated drink, one is most likely at risk of developing Osteoporosis, a disease where the bones become weak and fragile and go to the extent of developing cracks and also break, sometimes, under the person’s body weight. Another interesting fact is that this correlation and bonding between the cola consumption and Osteoporosis disease is mainly found in women rather than men.

Cola consumption is associated with strong lowering in the bone mineral density in the women irrespective of their age and other statuses. Depletion of the calcium commonly occurs in the bones at the joints – hips, knees, ankles, elbows and spine. Consuming the carbonated drinks is on the rise in these days due to the enormous amount of pressure and the burden one carries on his shoulders in today’s life. Most of the beverages and the carbonated drinks contain an acid called ‘phosphoric acid’.

Phosphorus that is contained in almost all the carbonated drinks reduces the calcium content in the bones making them susceptible to more breakage. This thinning of the bones proves a serious threat to many people in their later stages of life. Depletion of calcium weakens the bones and continues weakening causing the bones to get eroded and develop small and tiny pores in them. Though few studies reveal that the amount of phosphorus is quite negligible in the carbonated drinks, other facts show that since phosphorus is replacing the milk in the diet and is the primary factor in the loss of calcium content, it is also standing as the main reason for people to get affected from this bone disease.

Women therefore must be very cautious while consuming such carbonated drinks as calcium is very much important to make the bones stronger in the women today. Lack of calcium makes bones weaker and fragile and result in fractures and cracking of the bones; especially near the joints. Foods rich in calcium like the green leaf vegetables, whole fruits must be taken abundantly and should also be included in their daily diet as this helps in increasing the bone mass density and make the bones grow stronger. Dairy products also have high amount of calcium in them. Apart from Calcium, Magnesium, Iron and protein content food might also be taken as they provide the essential nutrients in order to make the bones grow stronger.

Women must regularly consult the doctor and take suggestions on the calcium levels in their bodies therefore avoiding any such bone diseases. This shows that the cola consumption and consumption of other carbonated drinks is highly related with the Osteoporosis where the phosphorus dominates and makes the bones lack of calcium; in turn making them weak and fragile. Hence consumption of cola must be avoided as much as possible to prevent oneself from any bone diseases.

Osteoporosis is a bone disease where the bones become weak and fragile. They sometimes develop small pores and cracks and often break causing fractures unable to withstand the own body weight. This disease generally occurs as the people tend to become older. There are some rare cases where this disease is also found in people who are highly obese and in pregnant women. There are various causes for this disease to occur.

Osteoporosis occurs mainly due to the lifestyle habits one experiences daily and sometimes might also cause hereditarily… If a person’s family has a history of being affected by this disease, then there are more likely chances of even the person getting affected by Osteoporosis. Also, women tend to get effected more than men by this disease. Other factors by which this disease occurs is due to the lifestyle habits and those causes which could be controlled by oneself.

If there are low estrogen levels, particularly in women, then the person is more likely to get affected by Osteoporosis disease. Women should therefore take care of their bone health while at a young age by taking proper supply of nutrients all the while. This helps build the estrogen levels during adolescence and one is not at high risks of this bone disease. Also, if there is any history of broken bones; for example, when a person meets with any accidents or fractures and results in breaking his/her bones, even if at a young age; then such persons also have more chances of getting the bone disease later in the life. This is because, once affected, the bones in that particular location of the body become weak and are not strong enough as they are in the normal people who never experienced any breaking. Such weak bones, on aging of the person, become weaker and tend to develop small cracks, especially if there are no proper nutrients and minerals being supplied and become the primary cause for developing Osteoporosis.

Low body weight in particular persons also result in the person being affected with Osteoporosis disease. Therefore one should try to build their bone mineral density right from their young ages by taking good food sources that are rich in calcium and minerals so that the bone tissue gets strong enough even at the older stages of life.

Most of the causes of Osteoporosis can be reduced by following proper diet and nutrition. Include food sources rich in calcium, like dairy products, green leafy vegetables and whole fruits in everyday diet are one such option to increase the bone mineral density. Vitamin D is another such vitamin that helps bones grow stronger. There are other vitamins and minerals like the magnesium, Vitamin B, Vitamin K etc; most of which are found in the green vegetables and including such nutrients will prevent one from suffering from weak and thin bones in the later stages of his life.

People tend to develop weak bones slowly and gradually and once aging occurs, they might experience few pains at the joints. On screening and undergoing few tests by the doctors, it is found that the patient is affected with Osteoporosis bone disease. So, there are no accurate physical symptoms as such in order to detect if one is affected by the Osteoporosis disease at any time in their life.

Osteoporosis results in weakening and thinning of the bones that often develop cracks and fractures, sometimes unable to withstand their own pressure of the bodyweight. In most of the cases, this disease occurs due to low bone mineral density. The bone tissues do not get proper and sufficient nutrients and as time passes, the bones at the joints often result in cracking and breaking.

Common ways to detect if a person is having low bone mineral density is by getting screened and going for the tests under the care of a doctor. The doctors perform few tests and diagnose if the patient is having low bone mineral density and the amount of risk he/she is in by getting affected by the Osteoporosis disease. Doctors also have many other ways in diagnosing this disease. The entire family history of the person must be examined in detail and clearly if there are any histories of breaking bones or weak bones in the family previously. One should also clearly mention if they had experienced any breakage of fractures while at a young age. The amount of physical activity one involves in their daily life also significantly contributes to the thinning of the bones in the later stages of life.

The lifestyle habits one undergoes in their everyday life, like smoking and drinking alcohol, are few of the primary factors where the person is most likely to get affected by this bone disease. Screening of the bones at the joints is performed on regular checkups by the doctors in order to find out if the bones are getting sufficient nutrients all the time. Low calcium and iron might lead to low bone mineral density and the bone tissue is then responsible for the weakening of the bones. Knees, elbows, ankles, hips etc are quite common places and joints where one tends to experience pain and develop small tiny cracks as they grow older.

The doctors diagnose the patient by performing various tests depending on the lifestyle habits and the age of the person. Suggestions are then given based on the results of the tests obtained to improve and increase the bone mineral density. Foods rich in calcium content are prescribed to the patient. Green leafy vegetables, whole fruits are few of the foods that the doctor prescribes as early or initial stages of developing Osteoporosis is detected in the patients. High screen diagnosing is also done and many medical treatments are also provided if the patient is already suffering from more than milder amount of disease or if he/she is in severe stage of Osteoporosis disease.
